Filtration Maintenance

We HIGHLY recommend a minimum of annual service on standard filtration, with the exception of carbon filters on city water (biennial service) and, in some cases, 6 months or less, as outlined in the following general recommended maintenance cadence:

Softener Salt Delivery: 6mos, Annually, or As Needed
Canister Filter Changes: 6mos, Annually, or As Needed
UV Light Bulb Changes: Annually
Reverse Osmosis Membrane/Filters: Annually
Backwashing Filtration: Annually
Carbon Filter on City Water: Biennially (every two years)

By keeping up with routine maintenance, we're able to ensure our customers' water quality is excellent. Water chemistry & water usage change, wear & tear occur, neutralizer media needs replenishing, filtration medias have life spans, salt runs out, filters clog up, and we come equipped with every part & tool it takes to keep our systems effective and efficient. At each service appointment, we obtain a water sample (ideally from the most-used fixture, typically the kitchen sink) and test it on site. We perform routine checks and maintenance on mechanical valves, adjust settings, monitor usage statistics, inspect drain lines, flow controls, clocks, performance, etc.
